lyrics

“Al Capone did not shoot people because he was drunk. Everytime I say that people laugh because they all understand it. You know we’ve all seen The Untouchables. Everybody knows it. It’s part of the American folklore. Al Capone did not shoot people because he was drunk. He was doing business. And when he had a dispute with someone who didn’t pay for his product he couldn’t take them to court, you see. And when he had a dispute with a rival dealer he couldn’t sue the dealer for trademark violations and he couldn’t conduct an advertising campaign to get an advantage. The only thing he could do was shoot people because we defined it that way. So we created a level of violence that finally became so unacceptable that Americans repealed alcohol prohibition.”
